Summary
Central England is sometimes known as ‘The Heart of England’ and encapsulates pure Englishness, with charming villages, ancient towns and cosmopolitan cities. It is right at the centre of the country, so is well connected and therefore easy to explore the area by car. The East Midlands includes the glorious landscapes of the Peak District which act as a contrast to the lively cities of Lincoln, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, where you can find the finest Asian food in the country.
The Region also includes the much visited Costwolds, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire with its well-known castle, and Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire are to the West bordering Wales. To the North lies Staffordshire and its potteries and in the centre you’ll find the city of Birmingham.

What to see/Highlights
The Cotswolds
are a range of hills running runs southwest to northeast through six counties, particularly Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Southern Warwickshire. The villages are characteristic of the area with gorgeous honey stoned cottages.

Stratford-on-Avon is William Shakespeare’s home town with a beautiful river running through it. Catch a production at the Royal Shakespeare Company and see the finest actors perform Shakespeare’s works.

Birmingham is one of Britain’s most visited cities and offers fantastic shopping, nightlife and a celebrated cultural scene, and is at the hub of Britain’s road network. It also has an international airport and an international exhibition centre.

Nottingham this vibrant university town in the heart of England has caves, castles and clothes to entertain visitors who might have come to explore Robin Hood’s dwindling forest.
