Summary
The North East region comprises the counties of County Durham, Teeside, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear. In the North East of England you will experience huge expanses of vast unspoilt countryside, castles and broad golden beaches, with the world renowned Heritage site, Hadrian’s Wall running through it. It has an exciting mix of vibrant thriving cities, such as Newcastle and Durham with plenty of shopping and nightlife, and is combined with rich heritage and beautiful landscape. Anthony Gormley’s legendary Angel of the North sculpture is located near Newcastle and is probably the country’s most famous work of public modern art.

is a modern, vibrant city, with a lively arts, leisure and cultural scene and has legendary nightlife, making it one of the worlds top party cities.

Hadrian's Wall – The wall, constructed by the Roman Empire cuts across 73 miles of beautiful and varied countryside. The most spectacular section is between Brampton and Corbridge.

Alnwick Castle – If you enjoy castles, don’t miss the one at Alnwick. The exterior dates from the 14th century and inside six rooms are open to the public.

Durham Cathedral is widely acclaimed as one of the world’s finest buildings and has a vast and impressive interior.
