East of England
Come to the East of England, and discover a beautiful, quiet landscape, full of picturesque thatched villages and seaside resorts. You’ll find the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire which can offer a range of historic cities, busy seaside resorts and quaint village life. Despite being within close reach from London, the East of England is relatively unfamiliar to visitors, so you can immerse yourself in quiet, peaceful surroundings whilst also on the doorstep of cultural towns.

Norfolk is a quiet, rural area with flat unspoilt countryside and beautiful coastline. It’s a superb place for bird watching. There are many beaches to choose from but the most beautiful are probably Holkham, Brancaster and Cromer. Suffolk boasts 45 miles of unspoilt coastline, and many popular seaside resorts such as Southwold and Aldeburgh- which is home to the annual music festival founded by Benjamin Britten. Essex is home to many historic towns, such as Colchester, which is Britain’s oldest recorded town, home to a superb Norman castle keep and Roman gateway.
